Tuning terms

SHIFT RPM - This is when the computer in your vehicle decides to shift to the next gear during wide open throttle(WOT). Most people like this changed to 5600 rpm as Westers recommends this for the best spot in the rpm range for shifts, whereas the stock setting is around 5200 rpm.  However, we can change this to whatever rpm you desire, depending on the modifications done to your vehicle.

DUAL OCTANE TUNE - This can be done only with GM/Chevrolet vehicles. We can tune your pcm so it can run on either 87 octane gas or 91 octane gas, depending on the performance you want. The computer automatically detects what fuel you are using and adjusts the timing curve accordingly.  This is good if you don't always want to run 91 octane. Ford vehicles, however, can only run the fuel that they have been tuned for. If you have a 91 octane performance tune, then you can't put 87 octane fuel in because it would knock. However, you can still get an 87 octane tune in a Ford it just won't have the same performance as 91 octane.

TORQUE MANAGEMENT -
Torque Management is a term used to describe how the computer protects the engine and transmission during "abusive" driving. The computer will make the engine reduce power under these driving conditions which include shifing from one gear to another. Unfortunetly, the computer thinks that accelerating quickly from a standstill or while at cruising speeds is an abuse on the powertrain which explains the slight hesitation when you mash on the throttle. We can saftely remove 70-80% of torque management without affecting the life of the powertrain. And it'll make your vehicle feel like a new beast.

PCM - Powertrain Conrol Module. This is a fancy name for your onboard vehicle computer. It controls all functions of the engine including spark control, fuel control, emissions operation, rev limiting, transmission shifting, etc. This is where we make the changes to your vehicle to give it more performance.
